Most of the other surviving gods God of War are minor deities that are only mentioned or appear in a more complementary context. Kratos was not encountered by the archer twins Apollo and Artemis during the conflict on Mount Olympus. In The Wrath of Kratos from God of War 3, David Jaffe opted to side with Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, rather than against her. The three principal Olympians ultimately prevailed in the horrific conflict, mostly because they were sober and refrained from confronting the god-slayer. Yet, Zeus’ closest family members were often those who had the most stake in his life, which frequently resulted in grave and deadly conflicts of interest. Zeus was a target for Kratos because of their unpleasant past together. In reality, innumerable, the most of his atrocities against the gods were committed against powerful figures in the Olympian pantheon. Kratos generally ends lives in God of War. As a consequence, many gods were spared from Kratos’ wrath.
